I am a software developer and database administrator with over twelve years experience. When I'm not grinding out business intelligence apps for a certain maker of personal grooming products, I'm building interesting little websites. My current project is called News Not News. You may have stumbled your way here from there. News Not News allows readers to rate news stories from major media outlets on their newsworthiness. With a little math-fu, we can determine which stories are the most compelling, and which were a waste of time. We can see which agencies are running down leads, and which are just running down.

Maybe, just maybe, those agencies can see which way the wind really blows when it comes to putting out "news". If nothing else, we have at least given readers a way to separate the wheat from the chaff.
